I am on the lifetime plan which means there are no ongoing payments that need to be made to keep it up. Ultimately, it will be up to the platform owners to keep it up. Whether I want that to happen or not, I'm not sure of at the current time.
While I do use a custom domain name, the subdomain that's configured will continue to work in the event that my custom name cannot be renewed.
