Door Closers
A building I frequent has "door closers" on most doors. (I didn't know what those were called until I looked them up just now and I guess I shouldn't be surprised by now literal their name is.)
There was one such door that slammed really hard unless someone caught it. I admit that I was guilty with letting it slam. I suspected that the people nearby had a hatred for people using that door but it was a convenience to me that I didn't want to change. Sometimes, I would catch it to stop it from slamming but other time, like when I was in a hurry, I'd just let it do its own thing.
At some point, I saw someone had a taped a handwritten note asking people to stop slamming the door. From that point, I was more careful with it despite feeling like it wasn't me who was doing the slamming!
