Enjoy Being Offline
I feel increasingly like I want to disconnect from the internet. Age verification is here. Platforms are closing in all around us. AI is scraping every findable thing out there. Companies are processing every bit of data they can get on you even when you're not the one giving to them. Every second webpage wants me to find all the cars or bicycles.
Lately, my favourite moments are those that have nothing to do with being online. I like being away from cell towers. I like being with the important people in my life without being glued to a device. Sit around a campfire and live a primitive life for a while. 😅
Don't get me wrong. I love a lot of digital technologies. I'm a tech worker during the week and I love playing with open source projects. Sometimes, it's nice to leave it all behind for a little while.
